My family surprised me Christmas morning 2014 with a guided Bass Fishing trip on Lake Okeechobee with Captain Jason Young they found on the internet site. Finally I made my way to the Lake and met Jason after we had picked up some shiners at the local bait shop. While the first hour was slow and we made a move from the first spot, but the second spot was RED hot. Within 5 minutes, I caught a 7 lb Bass followed by a couple 5 and a couple 3 pounders. By 10 o’clock I had boated 23 pounds. When that bite died off, Jason navigated us to another spot and we flipped plastic jigs catching several 2 and 3 lb bass on the jigs. About 1:45 PM a severe storm system moved in and washed out our last two hours but I’d had so much fun and success that we agreed to call it a day. Jason was an excellent guide and a pleasure to fish with. I referred friends to him and plan on returning again to go after some more Big Bass. Thanks Captain Jason for a great trip and helping me catch the fish of a lifetime!
I just wanted to send you my deepest gratitude for setting Mary and I up on the 2 best fishing days we have ever had. Mary is not much into fishing but she had a blast being on the lake and talking with Captain Steve. First of all we both found him to be very delightful and knowledgeable. Furthermore of proof of his expertise is that even I managed to snag a few bass (and chain pickerel too, which were on my “bucket list”). All in all it was a very memorable trip and I will have very fond memories of it — up to the point when I return again soon, lol!I sent a “Thank You” e-mail to Steve along with a small gift that I recently ran into while shopping, and also wanted to send him a tip (I had gotten so bewildered with the transactions that I forgot to include one). Thank you very much, hope you had a Merry Xmas and will have a great New Year. Hope to be back soon!
My brother and I spent two full days on Orlando with Captain John. Probably had the absolute best trip ever, it was a blast! John was very knowledgeable, fun to fish with, and a great guy. Consequently we caught a ton of bass up to 8 pounds using live and some on artificial baits. In addition we highly recommend booking a trip on John’s boat. Already looking forward to another trip next year!
